(2) SPANISH COLONIAL SILVER MOUNTED COCONUT CUPS
Guatemala, c. 1790-1800, the nuts ribbed with incised bands at rim above an applied silver band with pierced double handles, set in round silver bases, the larger has owner's name inscribed on the inner lip of the base, Ma Cruz Mon...i?, 5.25"h, cup opening 2.75"diam.; the other, 4.5"h; 2" cup opening
These cups were most likely used for liquids other than chocolate.
