America, 19th c., one depicting a three-quarter portrait of a fashionable lady, the other a portrait of a young gentleman, each 6.75"
NOTE: Scrimshaw crafted before 1973 (sperm whale ivory, walrus ivory etc.) is legal.
All sailor handicraft items in this auction are 19th c.
Tooth with woman has spider-web blemish on upper side of tooth; man with two old 3-4"age cracks, no separation in cracks.
