Note attached in drawer: "This highboy was made with five kinds of wood and I think they are all the original pieces. English-walnut, maple, cherry, birch and pine. It is well made and about 150 years old. Repaired and refinished August 10, 1914. By E. A. Huebener & Co. 76 Parkman St. Dorchester, Massachusetts."
Old but not original brass: four knee returns missing; drop finials missing.
