Ruth Francken (Czech/French, 1924-2006) script signature in the casting 'Ruth Francken'; created in 1971, issued as a limited edition; white lacquered fiberglass polyurethane with chrome plated, tubular steel base which retains its original surface;
back 40"h; seat 23"w; seat height 19"
Francken covered a seated male model in plaster to make the mold for the chair.
Prov.: From the estate of a Florida mid-century modern collector who purchased the chairs as a pair.

Some splits in original polyurethane resins expertly reinforced. Surface revitalized to original lacquered lustre which was dulled due to being stored in a Florida barn. No parts replaced. One bolt to base added over time.
