A similar example of a single Bedlam card table is owned by the Dorchester Historical Society. After serving in the Revolutionary War, Bedlam worked in his shop in Dorchester Lower Mills from 1776 until his death in 1815. He became the wealthiest cabinetmaker in Dorchester. His diary lists thirty one apprentices he trained during his career.
One table has crack on side in the satinwood veneer, and a minor vertical crack to veneer on the other side; very slight warp to lid.
