Thomas Wagstaffe London, (b. 1724), clock and watchmaker, worked from 1756 through 1793. Blackman was a Philadelphia maker of Chippendale cases and it wasn't uncommon for American tall clocks to have English works. The note on door is inaccurate concluding that 'apparently case was also English'.
