"A unique feature of this cathedral is the series of 46 sculptured panels )5' by 7'2") to be found above the side aisles on each face of the beveled arches. Executed by four sculptors in their own distinctive style…. All four sculptors are distinguished members of the National Sculpture Society…. Three have their studios in Boston, namely, Theodore Barbarossa, Joseph Coletti and Ernest Morenon. Jean de Marco works in New York. All of their panels were carved 'on location' from finished models….. In many cases a single scene will involve several panels, and the general viewer will likely enjoy detecting the ingenious techniques devised by the artists to unify these panels."
