Gaston Louis Vuitton to keep his most loyal VIP customers happy, created what is known as the flower trunk (or malle fleurs) in 1910. It was a miniature trunk constructed of card/paper with leather detailing, canvas, wood slays and brass locks. These trunks were presented with flowers inside and would include a small zinc tray liner. They were made in very small numbers, and due to their fragility, very few from that period have survived.
Wear to bottom edge ribbon and along edges; sans zinc liner.
Estimate: $4,000 - $6,000
Realized: $5,500 - Excluding Buyer's Premium
