HAROLD MATHEWS BRETT (American/Massachusetts/New York, 1880-1955)

In addition to being a painter, Brett was an illustrator for The Saturday Evening Post, Harper's Weekly and Collier's. He attended the Boston Museum School studying under Frank Benson and Philip Hale. Later Brett studied with illustrator Howard Pyle.
