CHELSEA MILLENNIUM SHIP'S BELL MANTEL CLOCK
inscribed on reverse: This is the third Millennium Limited Edition #2003; along with with original box; 10"diam.; on wood and brass base 14"w (of 1000).
The Millennium clock signifies most eminent artists and scientists whose names are engraved on the brass molding of the clock base inspired by the Bella Pratt heroic female figures of Art and Science, 1911, at the entrance of the Boston Public Library.
Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, founded 1897. Chelsea produced their first ship's bell clock in 1900.
