rectangular top with original, tooled brown leather framed with burl walnut; three drawers above two, all with ornate winged cherub ormolu hardware and applied brass banding; the reverse with false drawers having conforming ormolu mounts; each side with an ornate floral ormolu mount and a pull-out writing slide with tooled leather; on tapering, stop-fluted legs with ormolu sabots and leaf top-caps, ending in brass caps, 31"h; 68"w; 35"d
In 1878, Victor Raulin succeeded to his father's business furniture in the 18th century taste. He exhibited at the Paris 1878 and 1889 Expositions Universelles and was awarded medals for his entries.
