RARE ARTHUR RACKHAM/ J.M. BARRIE, PETER PAN PORTFOLIO
London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1912; elephant folio, signed limited edition of four out of one hundred. This edition was limited to 100 copies, however only 20 were signed throughout by Rackham; in original hinged box
12 tipped-in and mounted plates, all signed in pencil by Rackham, each preceded with a title sheet
(2 sheets missing); also signed by the publisher and the engraver/printer on the limitation page; original full vellum, gilt titles to front board.
Rackham illustrated J.M. Barrie's 1906 book 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens'. This is the only suite of Rackham's plates, reproduced from his original artwork, to be issued in an oversize portfolio format. It comprises twelve of the artist's personal favorites. Harvard University's Houghton Library has this portfolio in its collection.

Overall in very fine condition; the cream silk ties recent; moderate foxing/ spotting on the boards.
