The front and back covered with red velvet with applied, pierced, plated sliver corner mounts, and a centered plated Lamb of God to front and back; text in Latin, containing music, sermons, litho plates, over 800 pages; The Missal is the liturgical book of the Roman Catholic Church containing texts necessary to conduct Mass throughout the year. The Council of Trent in 1570 declared that a uniform Missal in Latin be used throughout the Catholic Church.
Collector's note: This volume was de-accessioned by the Archbishop Corrigan Memorial Library at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, New York.
