Oaxaca, 18th c.; the oval image reverse painted on glass of the Archangel San Miguel with a feathered helmet, the scales of justice and a sword; the crest of the wood frame a carved shell with pierced-carved scrolling down the sides; the frame supported in the back by a wood cross which is the carrying pole; the eglomise glass measures 9" by 6"; overall height is 33"; the pole extends from frame 17.5"
