This fragment comes from one end of a huge feast bowl that was once the property of Chief Walkus of Blunden Harbor. The bowl was photographed by Edward Curtis in 1912 (Curtis, 1915, no. 176). Two other fragments from the central portion of the bowl are in the Seattle Art Museum Hauberg Collection (Holm 1983, p. 80, no. 133) and the Thaw Collection, Fenimore House Museum, Cooperstown, NY.
