The wood boxes of the Northwest Coast served as storage receptacles for food, clothing, ceremonial regalia and tools. They were utensils for cooking and serving food and specialized forms of boxes were used as cradles, coffins, quivers and canteens.
Age split to side and one on bottom, rubbed and worn surface, commensurate with age. Without the lid.
