queen stitch needlework on unbleached linen; the center panel with alphabet, people, flowering trees, dog, birds, angel, and poem:

Rosabella Child (July 25, 1778-August 20, 1885) The fifth of five children, born in Warren, RI. She married Edward Gardiner (1770-1826)
13.75 by 10.5 in. (sight); under glass, original frame 16.5 by 13 in. Included, extensive history of Ann Usher's School by Betty Ring, RI Historical Society, and the Child family tree.
Needlework text extremely faded; frayed side edges secured with stabiltex thread (conservator's notes included).
