overall 52.25", mid 19th c.; half-stock percussion 36-5/8" eight-groove octagon .38 caliber barrel with 2-3/8" spear-point tang; 4-3/8" x 7/8" engraved lock plate stamped STEEL & WARREN ALBANY; 8" trigger guard; classic Worcester Co. four-panel patch box; silver wire inlay at entry thimble, sideplate, breech tang, left side butt at cheek rest, and butt top flat with checkered wrist and fore stock; outstanding example of an original condition Worcester County rifle retaining original ramrod.
3"x .25" wood replacement on right side forward barrel channel from nose cone to barrel pin; .25" small wood knot repair at left side butt near starburst cheek rest; hairline crack left front nose cone to rear thimble pin 1.75"long.
