the first, an oval Gothic deeply carved boxwood box with the Crucifixion on the hinged lid surrounded by instruments and scenes of the Passion, carved scrolling foliage to the bottom; the interior of the lid with Christ on the cross flanked by Saints, 2.5"h; 4"w; along with (2) HOLY WAFER BOXES each with a silver inlaid monstrance to hinged lid and silver banding, 3.5" and 3" (lid with slight warp). The larger inscribed on silver lid La Bisontine.
