In the early 1930s, Marinko was known as one of the most pure surrealists of all the American artists. In the 1940's his regionalist landscape style became Marinko's bread and butter. George Marinko did not return to surrealism after the World War II.
From the home of a major, long-time collector of Americana in the Boston area.
