18/19th c., poss. Italian, black enamel ground with white decoration, the lid with bronze flame finial and ovals of classical profile portraits and putti; classical wreath and masque decoration to bole and base; the interior with figures in a wood with castle in distance, 12"h; 7.5"diam.
One portrait panel has dime-size spot of missing enamel; small flake to black enamel inside cover.
