LARGE CHINESE EMBROIDERY BANNER ON SILK TEXTILE
19th c., consisting of two side panels with figural and auspicious symbol embroidery on red silk each panel 4'6"; flanking a center blue silk panel with extensive gold calligraphy, 6' by 5'3'; total width 11'6", later fabric backing.
Part of the inherited collection from the estate of Marvin Rumpler (d. 2016, aged 90) of Needham, MA.
Some edge roughage; some splits in silk.
