Part of the inherited collection from the estate of Marvin Rumpler (d. 2016, age of 90) of Needham, MA.
The firm of Herter Bros. (1864-1906) was founded in NYC by German cabinetmakers Gustav and Christian Herter.
Sans original paper lining to niches; strip added to back, possibly a small cabinet sat on top; minor losses in paint here and there.
