From Theodor de Bry's (1528-1598) "La America"; numbered 48, the reverse with view of Cuzco, the Inca city named Qusqu conquered by the Spanish in 1533.
Based on "Ilsolario" by Benedetto Bordone (1528) probably derived from the sketches of Cortes. Mexico City, Tenochtitian, was founded in 1325 by Aztec tribes. The Aztecs held off Cortez in 1519, but the Spanish took the city in 1520.
