c. 1820, eight-day weight driven, eglomise glass depicting Lake Erie navel battle, eglomise throat glass with ship and WILLARD'S PATENT, 33"h
Accompanied typed note, "This clock was made by Aaron Willard for Mr. Lewis for whom Lewis Wharf is Boston was named. He had it made and presented it to his daughter as a wedding present. It remained in her possession during her life, and after, the death of her husband it went to heirs who were willing to part with it. It probably was made about 1810."
Glass appears original; some spots of paint loss in white areas; finial later.
