ROBERT COOK (Boston, 1921-2017) BRONZE PLAQUE
Badger and Weasels, Wind in the Willows (author Kenneth Grahame)
sgn. l.l.
R. Cook, lost wax casting, verdigris patina, 29" diam.
This work was artist commissioned by the consignor's parents, close friends of the artist. It hung on the covered porch in their Bermuda home for years.
Cook lived and worked in Rome most of his life. He worked in a lost wax method of casting, and was an innovator in that method by creating larger pieces than had previously been possible. The Taylor Graham Gallery in New York has recently had an exhibition of Cook's work.

Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500
