(5) GROUP OF ENGLISH PICTORIAL NEEDLEWORKS
first quarter of 19th c., a pair, a seated woman with lion, the other a seated woman with sheep, ovals 11.5 by 9 in.; in octagonal frames, 15.5 by 12.5 in. (3"corner of frame missing on one with lion, stains to silk on both); the rest on silk, in original gilt frames, a woman giving flowers to a young boy, oval 9.5 by 6.5 in.; frame 13 by 10 in. (stains and small tears in silk); a shepherdess with sheep, oval 12 by 9.5 in.; frame 15 by 13 in (some discoloration in silk); the last, woman picking flowers, oval 9 by 6.5, framed, 14.5 by 11.5 in. (tear in silk)
