o/p, 12.25 by 10.25 in.; period ebonized frame, 23 by 21 in.
A larger, very similar version of this painting by Pereda is in Madrid's Prado Museum titled Christ as the Man of Sorrows.
Prov.: A gift from the Ambassador of Spain in the 1990's to his close friend.
