Mahoney, well-known watercolorist and illustrator, was a student at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts in the 1920's. He was president of The Guild of Boston Artists from 1978-1982. Mahoney exhibited at the Rockport Art Association (of which he was a member), the Guild of Boston Artists, Harvard University, Boston University, Dartmouth College, and other venues. He was published in American Artist Magazine.
