early 19th c., initialed on bottom in blue ink and stamped Limoges/FRANCE,
also written in red ink script on bottom in French...made by hand in Paris, the lid with hand-painted sunburst decoration, original velvet lining, 2.5"h; 5.5"w; 3.5"d; along with a RUSSIAN PALEKH LACQUER BOX, signed and dated l.r. in Cyrillic
1971, hinged lid depicting soldier on horseback confronted by an old man, 1"h; 4.75"w; 3.75"d; also (2) Wedgwood BLACK basalt boxes, one round, 4.75"diam., the other oval, 4.25" x 3"; and a small Wedgwood plaque, The Triumph of Alexander, 2.25 by 2.5 framed under glass
