CARVED COCONUT BANK
Mexico, c. 1850-1900
elaborate overall carved cartouches consisting of two pairs of dancing couples, a man holding a rabbit, and the 19th c. Mexican eagle emblem with flags, the end, where coin slots are, has carved mustached face with applied brass-ringed, protruding, bead eyes, the other end with stylized heart and fan decoration, 5.25", raised on modern metal stand
Upper coin slot filled with wood, smaller lower slot (mouth) not filled; minor age appropriate surface dings at coin slot end.
