Ambroise Pare (1510-1590) was a French barber/surgeon so skilled he served four French kings, King Henry II, Francis II, Charles IX and Henry III. Because of his progressive ideas and observation to the outcome of his practices regarding his patients, he is considered one of the fathers of modern surgery and forensic pathology.
