Emile Gauguin (Emile Marae a Tai) was the youngest son of artist Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) and Tehura, a Tahitian woman. In 1963, Emile was brought to Chicago by journalist Josette Giraud, where he began to paint and create his own works.
