c. 1780-1830, hinged lid with finely carved bone panel depicting an agreement between Indian officials and British officers, surrounded with carved panels of working peasants, a tree to each corner, set on red velvet, interior compartments with bone thread spools, 3"h; 8"w; 6.5"d
2" of bead molding missing from right top edge; needs cleaning; slightly loose panels on sides. Escutcheon missing. Age appropriate use and wear.
