From the estate of Massachusetts artist, art instructor, and collector William Charles Collins (1925-2007). From 1945-1967 Mr. Collins was an instructor of Drawing and Painting at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. In 1972 he became Director of the Portland Art School in Maine. He was a personal friend of Julian Stanczak and purchased this painting in 1966. It has remained in the family to this time.
