(2) VERY GOOD BRISE HAND FANS
FRENCH EMPIRE PIERCED-HORN BRISE FAN, c. 1810, pale saffron dyed and pierced horn sticks; an unusual fan in that it opens both ways showing a different hand-painted picture on both sides including women in Empire dress; turquoise studded guard, in total four different hand painted pictures, 11"open; 6"; the other a FRENCH GOTHIC-SPIRE PAINTED IVORY FAN, c. 1820, Charles X "Boucher-type" with hand-painted cartouche of a peasant in an idyllic landscape, painted florals and swags to both sides, each stick has a Gothic spire joined by a painted ribbon; the guard set with faceted glass stone, 10.5"open; 6"

Both in fine condition. The horn fan has small dark stain on horn guard where ribbon attaches.
