c. 1890, (4) black lace fans, all with carved ebonized guards:
(2) black Spanish lace, hand-painted, one signed (
Sarsen?) depicting Cupid, a maiden and doves (minor paint loss at folds); the other with hand-painted floral decoration, each 14" 26"open (some later stitching holding lace in place); along with, two crepe fans with hand sewn, machine-cut sequins, the larger 12"; 21.5"open; the smaller with hand-sewn gold beads and sequins and unusual gold and black beaded guard, 8"; 14.5"open, with lace fan sleeve; and (2) white lace fans, one Georgette crepe and machine lace with hand-painted florals; the other crepe and lace with hand-painted birds and florals, composition sticks by Keyswetter of the Allen Fan Company, 14"; 25" open
