Yongzheng, c. 1725, arms of Mertins impaling Peck, 9"
Sir George Martin, Sheriff of Essex in 1705, was Lord Mayor of London in 1725. His son, John Henry Mertins married Bridget in 1717, eldest daughter of William Peck of Little Samford Hall.
