(2) ANTIQUE CHINESE SWORDS
Qing period, c. 1800, both with straight, double-edge blade and engraved brass guards,
one with bone grip, blade engraved with a five character inscription and dragon devouring the sun, original shagreen and etched brass scabbard, brass hanging mount on pommel, overall, 34"; blade 27"; the other,
blade ridged on both sides with six inlaid copper dots running down the blade, bone or hardwood grip, overall, 33"; blade, 26.5"; scabbard, 28.5"
From a Massachusetts home, inherited by her parents acquired in their travels to China in the 1930's.
