Acquired by the consignor directly from the estate of the artist.
New Yorker Woolf, was a frontline illustrator/correspondent during WWI for Time Magazine. He exhibited at the NY Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY National Academy of Design, the NY Public Library; Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, PA; the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts.
Seager was the first Professor of Drawing and Drafting at the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, in 1850
