Gorham Sterling A10024/30 12in.
round slightly flared rim with applied initials, HSF, 12"diam.; the other,
Volund Handwrought Sterling, Chicago, active 1914-1925, a rectangular cut corner tray with applied initial M 14.5" x 8.5"; 38.5 troy oz. total weight
Volund was founded by silversmiths Kristoffer Haga and Grant Wood. After closing, Wood as a painter, created his famous painting, American Gothic.
From a Newtown, CT woman's collection of silver spanning 35 years.
