H. Stern was founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1945 by 22 year-old German émigré, Hans Stern. In the 50's, Stern expanded his successful brand world wide. TIME Magazine called Stern "the king of diamonds and colored gems". Currently, Stern is the preeminent jeweler in Brazil, its second largest market being Israel.
