Clocks by this maker are rare. Clark was a London trained working in Boston during the mid 18th c. In November of 1764, his advertisement in The Boston Gazette stated, "...Takes this Method to inform all Gentlemen and ladies in town and country, that he has to sell at his Shop, the South Side of the Court-House; a Fine Assortment of the neatest made Clocks and watches, of all prices; he will also Warrant the same, as they are of his own make, and will be sold cheaper than any ever imported into the Country..."
