ITALIAN SLATE AND SCAGLIOLA LOW TABLE
20th c., the square slate top with eight various panels of identified painted birds and butterflies, centering a large medallion with faux pietra dura parrot, faux malachite band to top, faux malachite square legs, 17"h; 40"sq.
Purchased in Rome during a trip to Italy in the early 1980's. Shipping label from Paloucci, Rome.
Some chips to paint at bottom corners of leg; chips to base under top, apparent only when top removed. A few scratches to top.
