all oval, in silver frames, under glass
the largest 18th c., Alto Peru (Bolivia), oil on copper, one side depicting the Virgin and Child,
N.S.del Socabom; the other side S. Juan de Dios, 5" by 4"; another Alto Peru, poss. 17th c., oil on copper, Archangel Gabriel to one side, the other side a gilt monstrance, 3" by 2"; the third, painted (on paper?) depicting the Virgin and Child
Ex the private collection of a Connecticut gentleman and his wife who resided for ten years in Latin America beginning in 1962.
Leaking fluid from a cleaning in the past resulted in surface damage and clouds under the glass to all, some worse than others.
