Another portrait of Delia Varney dated 1837 is in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and is illustrated in Block and Lipman's 'American Folk Painting' (fig. 73); ans as Color Plate XV in 'Karolik Collection of American Water Colors and Drawings', vol.2.
Painting has been spaced and separated from the backboards by the insertion of a rag mat.
