Zuccarelli, raised in New Jersey, was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the Hudson Valley Art Assoc. He served as the official artist of the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1981. He was a descendant of the 18th c. artist Franco Zuccarelli, one of the founding fathers of the British Royal Academy.
