LARGE ANCIENT ROMAN EARTHENWARE AMPHORA
recovered from shipwreck, double handles, encrusted with shells and barnacles; the amphora measures 37"h, mounted in iron stand
Brought from the family home in Italy when the mother moved to Providence, Rhode Island sixty five years ago.
According to the matriarch of the family, a university professor determined this to be 2,000-3,000 B.C.
