Translation from Italian on old handmade paper: Anna Fontina, "Poet, musician, wax modeler. Most famous for sculptures in colored wax of Madonna, saints, mangers, Christ. Works in private collections, museums, churches. Sicilian antiquary Antonio Mongitore (1663-1774) remembers a nativity donated to Philip of Spain (displayed) by his bed."
