1929 letter from Carbone, Inc. of Boston, New York, Chicago, Florence: This sideboard was purchased some years ago by Mr. Carbone in the territory of Venice. It is a real old Venetian sideboard of the seventeenth century, and highly carved as you know, as contrasted to those of the southern type. After Mr. Carbone's death, when it was decided to have a memorial corner in the store, Madame Carbone chose this particular credenza as a fitting memorial to him....
